Hose Repair or Replacement Below is an example of a typical hose repair. It is on a 1976 Porsche 911S that had a leaking oil return hose from the engine to the oil tank. (This vehicle did not have the optional front oil lines & cooler.) A new oil hose like this from Porsche is over $175, and is a special order part with an unknown delivery time. We can repair the original with a new 310mm piece of the correct rubber hose & (2) new crimp sleeves for about $75, and usually do it in 2-3 days time. The photo on the left shows the original hard & brittle rubber hose before replacement. It was leaking at one of the crimped ends. The photo on the right shows the new hose assembly with the new crimp sleeves. The original metal line has lost some of its yellow plating, but the hose function will be as new. If desired, all metal components can be replated for a small fee. Send us your "No Longer Available" original hose and we will make it new again. Call Len or Mark for more information.
